Please initially enquire by email for availability. Let us know the occasion, the time, date, the venue and any other relevant information.
Please include a contact phone number. We will try to let you know if the band is available within 24 hours.
Providing we have the basic information about your event, we will give you a quotation when we confirm availability.
Once we have confirmed our availability and submitted our quotation, we will leave it up to you to decide if you want to book. If so, please request to book by email (ASAP as the date may otherwise become unavailable). We will then confirm the booking with you by email.
No not generally as we try not to overcomplicate things. However, on occasion, we may request a non-returnable deposit to cover ourselves against cancellation on your part (eg a ticketed dinner dance, wedding booking 2 years in advance).
Please arrange to pay us on the day/night of your event.
Although we play mostly in South Wales and Western England, we are willing to travel to all areas of the UK. Our quoted fee will account for the additional travelling charges and expenses.
For a normal evening booking, our fee covers our services from 7pm until midnight. We would then play 2 sets of 45 minutes and 60 minutes within this time (eg 9-9.45 and 10.30-11.30) The timings of the sets can be arranged to work around evening food. We are however flexible and happy to use our experience to suggest how the band can best fit into your event.
Ideally we need a space 4m across and 3m deep. The area needs to be flat and should be away from fire exits and any toilet access.

Yes, we have up to £10,000,000 PL cover. We are happy to provide a copy of our certificate by email to a venue if requested.
Yes, our equipment is visually inspected as a matter of routine at each time of use and then PAT tested annually for electrical safety.
Yes, but it is the responsibility of the customer or event organiser to provide suitable cover for the band against direct sunlight or light rain showers.
If rain is forecast for an outdoor event, then the customer or event organiser must have an indoor contingency plan in place.
About 60-75 minutes.
Yes, we like to do a 2 minute sound check just to ensure we get the right balanced sound at the appropriate volume for your big night.
Yes, although only at weekends.
We always carry an ipod with some suitable playlists for any event. We are happy to put some background music on before we play, during our break and for 15 minutes after our last song. Alternatively, you can create your own playlists, give us your ipod and we will play it through our pa.
Yes certainly, we have worked alongside several of Wales top wedding djs. If you want music outside of our times (for instance a disco carrying on into the night), then we would recommend that you also hire a disco or at the very least provide an alternative sound system. We are quite happy to recommend a quality dj for your night or even provide the band, dj and disco as a package.
Yes, however there is an additional charge which will be added to your quote. If required, please tell us about this at the time of booking.

If you have a specific song which you would like played for your first dance, then please let us know well ahead of time.
The Good Times is primarily a private function band and therefore plays very few public gigs. If we have any open audience gigs booked in then we will post this on our website before hand or let you know at the time of your enquiry.
We have all been performing musicians for many years and we pride ourselves on our professionalism and in particular reliability. We have never
missed a gig. However, we would of course contact you or the venue if we’re caught up in traffic or other circumstances beyond our control.
We aim to always give this same line up whenever possible. There are however occasions at the time of booking, when one member is unavailable due to a planned holiday for instance. Rather than saying “sorry we can’t do it,” we have replacement players within our circle of music friends who are all rehearsed with our set and can cover for the missing band member without in any way affecting the quality of our sound or performance.
